What is Stress?

We all have stress now and then, but why do we have this stress? If you really think about it then you will see that if you have stress, it will always be related to fear. Stress is nothing else than fear. You are afraid of what you have learned from your ancestors. All this information of what your parents and grandparents and great grandparents and so on have learned, is stored within your memory.

So what does this memory say to you if for example you want a new job. This job is not good for you, I’m a looser or you can not earn enough to support your family, I can not do this job, what will people think of me… And so on and so on and so on. There is always that little voice inside your head that keeps you away from what you really want and that brings stress into your life.

But if you try to re-connect with your inner child you will see soon enough what the real purpose of your life is. Think about what you wanted to do when you were a child or a teenager. What kept you away from doing this? What did your parents or teachers say about it? All this information is stored in your brain and every time you are in such a situation that you have to choose, this little voice inside your head will respond with what you have learned in life. It wil keep on saying “oh don’t do this or that, listen to me I know what’s good for you” and before you realize you experience a lot of stress.

It is difficult to ignore that little voice, I am also still struggling with it. Each time I hear it I say to myself. “It is ok to be here, I heard you, now you can go” and after that I do the Ho’oponopono exercise. In a next post I will explain what Ho’oponopono means to me and  how I use it in my life.

It is very important that you are free again, free of self-defeating thoughts that keep you away from the things you really want to do in your life. Freedom of thinking, free of self-judgement, free of guilt, free of stress……..You all deserve that!

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

All You Need Is Love

I Love YouWouldn’t it be wonderful if everybody would allow love into his heart? It is much easier than you think! Just say to yourself “I Love You” and repeat this over and over again. And if you use a mirror, like Louise L. Hay suggests in all of her books, it is even more powerful because you can look straight into your own eyes.

The first time I was very uncomfortable when I said to myself “I Love You”, all different kind of thoughts and memories went trough my head like, “This can not be true” or “You  always have to think about the other person first” or “Who do you think you are?”… But after a few weeks my thoughts were changing, I became aware of all the negative thoughts who were constantly in my mind. Most off the time I was judging other people and I said to myself “Why am I doing this?”

A week ago a very good friend gave me a book about Ho’oponopono written by Joe Vitale. It was a Spanish translation of it because I am living in Southern Spain now. He said “I know you will like this book.” And I  really did like it, my God, this was the answer to all my questions I still had. I read everything that I could read about it on the internet and listened to a lot of interviews of Dr. Hew Len and Dr. Joe Vitale and Mabel Katz.

Now I know how I can erase the negative data in my head that are always talking to me. You know, that little voice inside your head, everybody hears it now and then. Now I understand why I am judging other people or situations, now I can understand why I have fear or why I feel guilt. I still have a long way to go, but I am learning to love, to forgive, to say I’m sorry and to be thankful.

The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.

Start Your Day With Positive Affirmations

Starting your day with positive affirmations is giving yourself a wonderful gift. These affirmations will lead you through your day and empower you to focus on positive things. Everything we say is an affirmation and we are saying a lot of things during the day and our thinking never stops. If we should only be aware of what we are saying and thinking…that would make a big difference in how we are feeling ourselves during the day.

The way we think is the way we have learned it from our parents, our teachers, from all the people around us when we were a child. We all say, or at least a lot of us say “I don’t want to grow old like my mother or father or sister…”. Fill in the blank. But when we get older, we do act like them because this is what we have learned when we were children. We can go beyond this thinking pattern and release our negative thoughts by repeating positive affirmations over and over again until our brain has accepted the new way of thinking. It takes about 30 days for our mind to reprogram, so if you do the positive affirmations, do them at least one month and see what happens.

How to do Positive Affirmations?

A very powerful positive affirmation is to say to yourself “I love you, I really care about you.” When was the last time that you have said this to yourself? We suppose to think about the other in the first place and forget ourselves. Or we think, later when I have the time to think about myself. It is so important that you really care about yourself. The first thing when I walk into my bathroom is looking in the mirror and say “Trudy, I really love you”. In the beginning it feels strange and uncomfortable and you refuse to believe it. But after a while it gives you more self esteem and the ability to stand up for yourself.

Another form of doing positive affirmations is to listen to spoken affirmations. You can find a lot for free on Youtube and other channels or you can record your own affirmations. If you can listen to your own voice and the things that you really want in your life it has a more powerful effect.

And here I will give some positive affirmations to empower yourself during the day :

  • Life loves me and protects me.
  • I am one with the Power of the Universe.
  • I deserve an abundant life.
  • I choose to feel free and to love life.
  • I choose to take care of my inner child.

Take some Meditation Lessons

It all started twenty years ago when I took some Meditation Lessons with a friend of  mine. I did not know how to meditate or what is was, I only knew that I was searching for some peace inside my heart. From that day on I’ve meditated every day, now it is a part of my life and it feels good.

What is Meditation?

It’s very simple, meditation is a form of relaxation within your deepest inner self. It is like coming home and feeling relaxed, no stress, no fear… only peace in your heart and soul. Is this difficult? No, it isn’t, once you are in a state of relaxation the meditation will follow. It is that easy, in upcoming posts I will explain more about how to be in a state of deep relaxation.

How to Meditate?

Find yourself a comfortable place inside your house or outside if you wish. Whatever you feel is comfortable for you. Play your favorite relaxing  music, if you like incense sticks then leave one burning and put on some comfortable clothes. Now sit down or lay down and close your eyes. Try not to think, just listen to the music and relax.  If your thoughts are drifting away just say to yourself “It’s ok” and try to concentrate you again in the here and now moment. You will notice after a few weeks of meditation that your concentration will approve and that you can meditate for more than 10 minutes.

The Present Moment

The more you make time for your daily meditation, the more you will be aware from the present moment. You will take more powerful solutions for the future. Your strength lies in the Present Moment, if you can be happy and peaceful now, you will also be so in the future. A lot of people will say that it isn’t posible to live constantly in the present, I know you have to work on this and be willing to change your thinking pattern. See how children go through life. Do they think about tomorrow? They have faith that there will be a tomorrow with lots of nice things to do. It is a journey that is worthwhile to do and I will do this together with all of you!
